Its members closely collaborate and share experiences to promote and drive the success of the LoRaWAN® standard as the leading open global standard for secure, carrier-grade IoT LPWAN connectivity. With the technical flexibility to address a broad range of IoT applications, both static and mobile, and a certification program to guarantee interoperability, LoRaWAN® has already been deployed by major mobile network operators globally, with continuing wide expansion into 2022 and beyond. Our members come from organizations of all types around the world addressing all aspects of the ecosystem. Members include multi-nationals telecommunication companies, equipment manufacturers, system integrators, sensor manufacturers, entrepreneurial start-ups, and semi-conductor companies. In the Americas, APAC, and EMEA, our members develop, deploy and use the technology across countries and continents, driving the implementation of the Internet of Things. The LoRa Alliance® is an organization with membership addressing the need of the individual company and is divided into sponsor, contributor, and adopter levels. The LoRaWAN® specification is a Low Power, Wide Area (LPWA) networking protocol designed to wirelessly connect battery operated ‘things’ to the internet in regional, national or global networks, and targets key Internet of Things (IoT) requirements such as bi-directional communication, end-to-end security, mobility and localization services.
