In 2020, we saw work change in very dramatic ways. And even as an end is finally in sight that could make it safe to gather together again, remote work is here to stay at Hologram.
While much of our team calls the Chicagoland area home and our headquarters will remain here, from now on, we will be a remote-first company and build our team nationwide.
While there undoubtedly are challenges that come with remote work, we believe location flexibility is a key tool to help us build a strong work culture and hire the right team members - no matter their location.
To launch our transition to a fully remote organization, we’re excited to announce the newest addition to Hologram — our VP of People, Courtney Seiter. Seiter describes herself as being “slightly obsessed with creating healthier work culture” and is an expert in building thriving remote teams.
For the last seven years, Seiter has worked at Buffer, a social media tools platform known for being among the first wave of remote-first organizations. Seiter was most recently Buffer’s head of people, where she evolved Buffer's work culture across 13 time zones and 45 cities around the world.
At Hologram, Seiter will focus on all aspects of HR, including, but not limited to recruiting, hiring, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, and building a remote-first culture.
“It was Hologram's commitment to a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and thriving team that drew me in,” said Seiter. "I'm also excited about all the good Hologram can do in the world as a cellular platform for IoT devices — everything from protecting endangered populations to better, faster contact tracing in a pandemic.”
Seiter is based in Nashville, Tenn., with other team members working remotely from Austin, Boston, San Francisco and Phoenix. We now have more than 50 employees nationwide and we're continuing to grow.
