Most IoT projects stand and fall with reliable connectivity. No connection means no data being shared by the device, and in a lot of use cases that means loss of revenue or business. Cellular connectivity is the way to go for most applications, but interregional and international deployments quickly result in the additional challenge of working with multiple carriers … or do they?

New SIM technologies are emerging, such as eSIM / eUICC and Multi-IMSI SIMs, which offer an easier way to get connectivity in many different countries on one SIM, without the traditional overhead of physical SIM and carrier management. Some of these even go beyond what traditional telecom resellers (MVNOs) can offer.

How do multi-IMSI profiles work and can they be coupled with eSIMs? This webinar gives answers and discusses the pros and cons of the different SIM deployment approaches. It then introduces Twilio Super SIM as a cellular IoT product offering the advantages of both, delivering maximum global connectivity on one SIM and giving end users an incredible connectivity experience.

What you'll learn:

  • What are the challenges of cross-border cellular connectivity?
  • What is eSIM, eUICC and Multi-IMSI all about and how can both solutions simplify interregional and international deployments?
  • What are the pros and cons of the different SIM deployment architectures that exist today?
  • How does Twilio Super SIM solve the cellular connectivity problem for cross-regional deployments?
