Every year, building management gets more and more complicated, with new tasks that must be done to keep a facility running smoothly. Of the many different systems and devices in a commercial or industrial building that may consume energy, the largest energy consumer is in-arguably heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR). According to the U.S. Department of Energy, HVACR systems account for 40-60 percent of total building energy usage. The next largest consumer of energy is lighting, at just 11 percent.

When industrial and commercial devices operate independently, it can be difficult, time-consuming, and inefficient to operate them in both cost-effective and environmentally conscious ways. What if an entire HVAC system was connected together? What if all of the HVAC devices, regardless of manufacturer, were managed as one with a single, consolidated interface? Now, reducing the A/C or heat is as simple as interacting with one device, making it easier and less time consuming to operate in an environmentally conscious and energy efficient way.

Regular monitoring and maintenance of HVACR systems can also help to prevent refrigerant leaks and ensure their safe operation. In doing so, facilities can reduce the environmental impact of gas leaks and safeguard the health and safety of workers and occupants. Enterprise Leak Detection (ELD) software gives direct visibility of any refrigerant leaks in connected facilities. This provides industry-leading refrigerant management and notification tools to help facilities reduce operating costs, gain regulatory compliance, and become a leader in sustainability and efficiency.

Join MSA Safety to learn about their capabilities for HVACR leak detection and connected solutions.

MSA Safety

More than a century ago, MSA Safety was a Pittsburgh-based start-up that used technology, innovation, and inspiration to make the world a safer place. We’ve come a long way since 1914. With nearly 5,000 employees worldwide, we manufacture life-saving equipment in 17 countries, and we sell into 120.At a very high level, we develop and manufacture "sophisticated" safety products and technologies that integrate electronics, mechanical systems, and advanced materials to help protect users against hazardous or life-threatening situations. The MSA FieldServer suite of automation gateway products is quietly at work on site or in the cloud at over 100,000 locations around the world. FieldServer devices help provide normalization of data in educational, medical, entertainment, industrial, and other facilities. FieldServer solutions serve Original Equipment Manufacturers, System Integrators, Building Automation, Industrial Automation, and more. The FieldServer range of products has been in the marketplace for over 20 years consistently improving capabilities and features of the FieldServer products every year.
